Learning Log for Week of May 16th - May20th
My favorite thing this week was going to Thanksgiving Point Museum and Curiosity Museum.
Homeroom:
I worked on my math facts this week. I am working on trying to multiplication and division flashcards in 1.5 minutes. I also did code monkey where I learned how to code.
Math:
I finished my lesson #23 and took my unit test. I am learning about reciprocals in fractions. I am excited to finish fractions and move onto next level, I am getting close!
Science:
In Science we did a field trip to Thanksgiving Point and learned about flowers at the gardens. Then we went to the curiosity museum and I learned about the rain forrest at the museum, it was fun to learn more since we did a study on biomes.
Language Arts:
I am working on my spelling in spelling-u-see. I starting working on bossy r chunks and endings. I was able to learn about the hanging gardens of babylon as I was doing my spelling. I love doing history with my spelling.
History/Geography:
This week we went on a field trip to the University of Utah and saw a program about the pacific islands and learned about some of their culture. We visited Hawaii, Tahiti, and New Zealand. Tahiti was my favorite because the dancers there move their hips really fast.
Tech:
In Digital Photography I finished the end of year art show. I went around my neighborhood and took different photos. My favorite photos were of the LDS temple that is close by my home. It was during sunset and it was so pretty.
Choir:
I had my last performance at an elementary school. It was so fun, but I was sad that it was my last time. But I am excited for drama camp this summer!
Dance:
We are finalizing our dance and cleaning up our moves. We had picture day and it was fun to get dressed up and get ready for our spring recital. I am excited to perform at Kingsbury Hall.
