In my LEA class this week I started my last Narnia book called The Last Battle  It is a really good book that is so exciting because every chapter gets better and better!

Science:

This week in science we learned about a bird egg. We printed off a copy of a diagram on an egg. It shows you the differnt parts that an egg has and what it will use to protect its self and keep it safe. Their are a lot of cool new facts that I didn't know eggs. We did a science project on eggs, we put and egg in some vinegar and let it sit for week, then it turned into a what they call a naked egg where the shell was eaten away by the vinegar . It was so cool!

History/Geography:

This week in Geography we are still working on our study of the Asian continent. We studied the population of Asia and the Regions. My country that I am doing a report on is India, In 2013 the population of India was about 1.252 Billion! And the region that it currently is in is called South Asia, because the British colonized India and every region South, North, East, and West was called that. So that is why India's region is called South Asia, because India is in the south.

Tech:

This week in my Digital Photography class I submitted my photos that I took of my cousin and my younger brother. Dare is 2 and Coleson my brother is 3, they are so cute in the photos!

Choir:

We also got to pick up feathers and look at them and see their different parts.

Learning Log for Week of February 29th - March 4th

My favorite thing this week was learning while on our vacation in Disney world!

Homeroom:

This week in Homeroom I went on Brain pop and learned about the human body.  I learned how you should take care of your body by doing physical fitness and to do it often.  I also learned about obesity, which is when you are overweight and you can't move your body. This can be very dangerous.

Math:

This week I started working on my prodigy account.  I got to pick my character and named her Emma fire heart.  It's a game where you cast spells on monsters and other evil wizards.  You cast a spell by using your math skills.  It's really fun and really engaging.

English/Language Arts:

This week I started The Silver Chair.  In the beginning it was a little boring, but then it gets really interesting by traveling to Narina.  It's new characters in this book, so I was a little sad because I thought the whole series had all 4 kids.

Science:

While in Orlando, I went on the Epcot Ball and we learned about different scientists that created rockets.  We also went to the area that talked about land.  We went to Kennedy Space Center and we got to see the rockets and how scientists helped the astronauts launch into space.

History/Geography:

On the Epcot ride we learned about the history of the world.  We learned about dinosaurs, then went to caveman, then it went to Egyptians, then the Greeks and the Romans, and then it showed how it was all destroyed.  Then the Renaissance happened and they came out with books and it showed Michael Angelo and the Sistine Chapel.  Then it showed how they made radios and televisions and how we got a man to the moon.
