Learning Log for Week of September 12th-16th
My favorite thing this week was starting ballet and choir.
Homeroom:
This week in Homeroom I watched some videos on Brain Pop. I worked on my Portuguese in Duo Lingo as well as my keyboarding class. I also did some math in my prodigy game.
Math:
This week in Math-U-See I worked on Lesson #6. This lesson taught about metric system. I liked it because it was fun to learn about the metric system since it is used mostly in Europe.
English/Language Arts:
This week in my Humanities class, I had to prepare a google slide. We are studying the people of America. I had to research and present on education in American. I learned that America is ranked #14 in the world for education, but we spend the most on education than any other country.
Science:
This week I finished up my food decay project. We are still studying about what and how people in different parts of the world eat. I thought it was interesting to see that there are fast food restaurants to eat outside of America, I thought we had them just here in the United States.
Tech:
I downloaded my software for my Sound and Audio Mixing. I was able to attend a field trip at Kingsbury Hall where a hip hop group from LA performed. It was cool to see how their sound and audio mixing was a huge influence on their dancing.
Social Studies:
This week in Humanities, through my Williamsburg Academy, we started talking more about liberty. I did a challenge project where we studied westward expansion, I chose the Native American culture and studies about it and then made a dream catcher.
