Learning Log for Week of March 28th - April 8th
My favorite thing this week was my sewing class.
Homeroom:
This week I studied khan academy. I worked a little bit on my math missions. I also watched some videos about art history.
Math:
This week in Math I finished lesson #18. It was on add mixed regroup numbers. It was little tricky, but it's starting to get a little easier if I remember the phrase, "to compare or combine they must be the same kind."
English/Language Arts:
I worked on my Spelling-U-See. I am learning about constant chunks and vowel chunks. At first it was kind of tricky, but it is getting easier. I like reading about the different stories of history.
Science:
This week in science we finished up our study on birds. Now we are starting a study on biomes and ecosystems. It was fun to draw a map of the different biomes around the world.
History/Geography:
This week in Geography we talked about the different languages on the continent of Asia. We are did history this week and are learning more about Mesopotamia. I like learning about the Code of Hammurabi and also learning about Sargon the great.
Choir:
We are practicing for our Spring recital. It is getting close and I am excited for my Solo on the song "When I Grow up." I love to sing and my teacher, Miss Alison is so much fun!
Dance:
We are learning the last of our recital dance. Once it's all learned we are going to clean it up. I am excited for our costumes to come in.
